DAVID DWUMAH, CPA, CISA
Founding Principal
David Dwumah is the Founding Principal of BLU NORTH GROUP a global information technology and cybersecurity risk consulting firm, with operations in North America. The Firm specializes in building the overall cyberinfrastructure or assist businesses and governments to enhance their overall cyber and technology risk posture, by aligning their security program strategy with business goals, implementing the most effective controls to protect their most critical information system assets “crown jewels” cost-effectively.
David began his career with Ernst & Young in 2002 in their Financial Services Practice servicing clients in the banking and insurance industries. In 2005, David was recruited by the Federal Reserve where he led strategic technology and cybersecurity audit and risk initiatives for the Critical Infrastructure Sector, with a focus on Federal Finance Digital Transformation programs until 2010. During his tenure, he led activities that covered the Federal Reserve’s core applications such as Enterprise Accounting System, Account Management Information, and the Treasury's Cash Management System, for which he received the President’s Award two years in a row. He served as a Senior Risk Manager for RBS and Citizens Bank in Providence, RI from 2010 through 2016, scaling up and managing critical cybersecurity and technology risk and assurance programs for Finance.
David earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Florida, a master’s degree (Information Systems) from Baylor University, and another master’s degree (Accounting) from the University of Notre Dame in Indiana. David is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in the State of Massachusetts.
